The flight took nine and a half hours making up on the boarding delay.
Landed at 8:44, out of the olane at 8:57, after a long walk cleared customs at 9:12, with a bit of a delay had my suitcase at 9:30, at the car at 09:42.
Had a stop at Mac Donalds because I wanted some fries. We had breakfast in the plane but it was not very much.
Was back home at 11:27.
I did some shopping for the next days, and this was the reality check that I was back home.
Played some Warcraft and went to bed at 3 pm.
Just woke up around 10pm and had something to eat. Now I try to go to bed in a few hours to try and reset the sleeping schedule.
Last day, everything is packed, and I had an hour before my ride to the airport showed up, so my last breakfast at this place.
The driver that brought me to LAX did not speak any English and my Mandarin sucks , so he dropped me at the wrong terminal so that was a fun morning walk.
The gate was in the other terminal so I had to go down and walk to the other terminal. On the way here you have to walk the same tunnel but you don’t notice it is going slightly down, this time it was very obvious it went back up.
As usual the boarding was a disaster, they send away the flight crew because of a delay, and they stood near the gate.
They use banners with zones, but with the 3rd zone everybody went in because they did not check the boarding cards.
For breakfast I am going to meetup with a group on facebook, it is just on the other side of the block..
on my way back, it was time for my first iced late.
I have to sort things out in my room and cleanup a bit. Have to pack the suitcase for tomorrow..
I left the room as it was after browsing twitter for a bit and went to Downtown Disney, just for a stroll and looking at the souvenirs.
I picked up something to eat from downtown and went on my way the long way around to do another visit at the CVS to get some more water for tonight and tomorrow.
My dinner looks worse than it was after a bit more than an hour, but is was still as good as I remembered from 2019.
I think I have almost everything in the suitcase, my biggest problem was the size of the Blizzcon backpack. I have to put my little bag with cables in my backpack because I can not get it in.
There are two 4TB drives in there that are still empty. Because of the rules, I could not take any cameras with me other than my phone, while others had full DLSRs, actioncams with selfie sticks and even laptops with a normal ticket that are not allowed.
Got the last things charging and only have the essential things still connected like the wifi travel router.
Started today a bit later and decided to get something else for breakfast. I am not sure what has less fat, the thing I had for a few days or this innocent looking chocolate croissant.
I did hang around in the cafe for a bit, updating the blog and catching up on the twitter things (or how it is called today).
Still had to go all the way around to get to the Hilton.
By the time I got to the Hilton, it was time for another coffee..
I did hang out a bit more at the Hilton and decided to go to another Best Buy for a bit, just to see if it had something I had to get.
Went to Wendy’s for something to drink and something small like a fries.
Back in the hotel to do some pet battles in Warcraft and catch up on some streamers
For dinner it was Denny’s again because it is the closest one. I got another burger the veggie edition, and it had bacon on it ( bravo )
I just realized that I did not have two days left, I always flew out on a Wednesday but I made some sort of mistake this time and I fly out on a Tuesday..
This day started out a bit more relaxed because of the schedule, the warcraft stuff started on 12, I expected the arena to be full at 11 so I went up to the lounge without even trying to get in..
I liked the little theather that had chairs. Most viewing screens on the show floor had no chairs.
The last part of the running of the murlocs, I was too late for the running itself.
Inside the con, it was still very busy in the Warcraft hall.
On some of the floors, you could find content creators hanging around talking to the camera.
I went back to the hotel around 18:30 just before the closing of the event. I decided to go to Denny’s and get something I have not had all the time I was here, so the bacon and avocado burger and fries, hold the bacon and replace the burger with a veggie thing.
After dinner back to the Hilton, where everybody was hanging out
Today I am starting slowly, the only thing I want is breakfast at the same place again, and I have to be there before 11 am because it is only available before 11.
The ticket pickup was easy. There was no line , just scan the barcode and move to the next checkpoint, then pick up the backpack and head to the exit. It took like 10 minutes.
I went back to the hotel to drop off my new backpack and got my other bag with the 360 camera that is not allowed
I went to the Hilton to hang out in the lobby for a bit.
After a while it was time for some coffee and I went to the hotel on the other side of the street for a timeout of the chaos.
Back to the Hilton lobby to see if there was anybody around that also knew me 🤔
I decided to go back to the hotel for a bit and watched the last part of a movie I started last night and slept through most of it..
After dinner I went back to the Hilton, and they finally let me use the shortcut next to the convention center.
There was no DJ this year, but they still had the music volume on 12. I did not stay very long.
I like the weather when the sun is gone, there are so many people still outside everywhere.
I had to make a little detour to get this photo, I drove by it with the Lyft and still needed to go back there for a photo.
tomorrow, it all starts, there’s not much information on what is open and how to get there, opening should be on 11am but you should be able to get in at 9am with a portal pass somewhere, back to Facebook to see if anyone has any info..
I am going to Blizzard HQ today for a tour by somebody who is in the guild.
I did not take many pictures this time. Doing the tour one on one is different.
On my way back to Anaheim, I did another stop by Micro Center and got an NVME drive of 2TB because the 1TB in my pc is almost full, and with the current pricing of 134 dollar..
After that, I hang around in the Hilton lobby and the Marriott for a bit, seeing a lot of familiar faces.
Again, awake at 5 am, not sure what is going on, but it is getting annoying 😒
The weather looks to be hotter than yesterday. I am looking for something to do inside today.
After breakfast, it was time to go to the Hilton just to take a look, but I ended up in the Starbucks in the Marriot. My name today will be Durbin,
Did some filming on the way back to the hotel.
I stayed at the hotel for the rest of the day, and somehow the time flew by, I also found that the fridge is at an ideal temperature to flash freeze bottles.
For dinner I went to the Italian and had a pizza this time, I really suck at choosing sizes in inches so I went for the medium, just one size bigger than the smallest, the waiter recommended the smallest one.
Tomorrow will be the big day, going to Irvine, Blizzard HQ..
Today started out early again. I went to the cafe in the hotel next door and got something for breakfast that was freshly put together.
I walked to the CVS again to pick something up for lunch or dinner, not sure yet it depends a little on how the rest of the day goes. They have a lot of choice with ham, turkey, chicken or fish, thats a nope, nope, rare maybe and another nope.
It was time to go back to the hotel and find something todo, yesterday I found out that there is a Micro Center close-by and this will be my first thing todo this morning, also found the Santa Ana Zoo that was not far from there as a second option.
Standing outside for a bit before I ordered the lyft made me rethink my plans and I went back to the hotel, it was to hot for me to go to the zoo, I will park that for another day after Blizzcon.
Went to Denny’s for dinner, sat down ordered, and 15 minutes later another man came in and ordered the exact same combinations, maybe it is just me..
Back in the hotel, I want to do some time-lapse photos but don’t want to stand outside with a camera alone. It will probably be fine, but I don’t want to go looking for trouble
