Recently I bought a “Manfrotto 303Plus Virtual reality & pan.pro head”.
It works as expected with the Canon EOS 5D mk II , you don’t really need the second plate because the camera lens is perfect in the middle, so there is no need to correct that.

I bought it primarily for the sigma 8mm Fisheye but there are some problems with this lens, the lens looks directly down and there is no way to get the bottom plate out of the view.
I also tried a diagonal mount but this gives you both plates in the view..

So if you want one for the sigma don’t buy it, but for the 17-40mm EF it works perfect.
